Equine Assisted Learning services.

WHAT IS EQUINE ASSISTED LEARNING?

Equine Assisted Learning is a facilitated approach to developing life skills through the partnership with horses. EAL is effective in human development, which brings growth as an individual and in a team setting.

WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM EQUINE ASSISTED LEARNING?

  • Individuals who experience stress, anxiety, depression

  • Individuals with special needs: ADD, ADHD, on the spectrum

  • Troubled youth

  • Individuals with low self-esteem, challenging life circumstance or learning disabilities

  • Personal growth

WHY HORSES?

  • They are sentient animals (feel emotions)

  • They don't judge but assess situations and people

  • They live in the present moment

  • Their feedback is honnest and instant

STUDIES AND OTHER INFORMATION

Cartier farms, in Saskachewan, have done independant research studies on the efficacy of EAL. With these studies, they were able to develop a Equine Assisted Learning curriculum.
